Design and construction of the S1 Kosztowy - Bielsko-Biała road, section I/B - the "Kosztowy II" junction (with junction) - the "Bieruń" junction (without junction) – signing of the contract
The Management Board of Budimex S.A. announces that on 4 July 2022 the contract has been concluded between Budimex S.A and the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, Branch in Katowice for: Design and construction of the S1 Kosztowy – Bielsko-Biała road, section I/B – the “Kosztowy II” junction (with junction) – the “Bieruń” junction (without junction).
The information that our bid was rated the highest in the tender procedure was published on 28 December 2021 in the current report no. 76/2021. The information that our bid was re-selected by The Ordering Party after cancellation of the selection procedure, about which the Company informed in the current report no. 86/2021 of 15 December 2021, was published on 11 May 2022 in the current report no. 28/2022.
Contract value: PLN 397,703,300.00 net
Contract commencement date: from the date of conclusion of the contract
Works completion date: 33 months from the Commencement Date
Guarantee period for the main works: 10 years
Warranty period: 60 months from the date indicated in the Work Acceptance Certificate
Advance payment: maximum 10% of the Accepted Gross Contract Amount
Payment terms: 30 days from the day of delivery of a correctly issued VAT invoice to the Ordering Party by the Contractor
Bank performance bond: 10% of the Accepted Gross Contract Amount
Maximum amount of contractual penalty paid by the Contractor: 20% of the Accepted net Contract Amount
The ordering party reserves the right to seek damages under general applicable rules if the amount of loss sustained exceeds the amount of the stipulated penalty.
Other terms and conditions of the contract do not differ from the market standards.
The Contract value exceeds the threshold of PLN 158,224 thousand net.
